Wang Jing, a 38-year-old woman from southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, has been cooking colorful breakfasts full of creativity each and every school day for her young daughter, ever since she quit her work and became a housewife last year.
Wang has created 220 dishes in total, all different as of January 13. On that day, she fried two eggs and a stick of bread, and placed them into the pattern of "100," to wish her daughter good luck for the final exams.
All the ideas for the ingenious cuisine dishes came from daily life, revealed Wang. "I want to use food to tell my daughter some fairytales between only the two of us."
After her daughter Xiaoxiong entered primary school last year, Wang always thought about giving her a special gift and making her happy on campus. She felt that delicious and attractive breakfasts may be the best thing to exhilarate the kid. Hence, she gets up at 6 a.m. in the morning from Monday to Friday and spends an hour cooking.
"She is getting more and more confident. She even drafted a speech herself and stood out to be a disciplinary assistant to the teacher. This is great progress for her." Seeing her daughter increasingly adapt to school life, Wang feels all her efforts are worthwhile.
"I would get up as soon as mom wakes me up, because I am eager to see what she has prepared for me," said the little girl.
