Undergraduates imitate the famous South Korean drama 'Descents of the Sun' on campus, shot by Jiang Wei [West China Metropolis Daily] |
Photos made by undergrads at Neijiang Normal University, southwest China's Sichuan Province, recently became a hit on the internet, after they recreated scenes from a popular South Korean military drama-of-the-moment Descents of the Sun.
The photos, posted on March 29, show a female student and members of the college National Flag Protective Guard, and were shot by Jiang Wei, a sophomore from the university.
Jiang says the photos were taken during a lunch break over about two hours. The TV show is popular among students, and the discussion about its characters prompted him to come up with the idea to stage a recreation.
After several auditions, the protagonist and the heroine were selected among students. They felt a bit nervous at the start of the shooting, Jiang remembers. However, the freshness of the images brought them thousands of hits within just one hour after they were uploaded.
According to reports, the college team of National Flag Protective Guard is a symbol of the university and practices twice a week. Officials said they highly recommended that students display their images on campus in an interesting way.
