Popular internet presenter Papi Jiang said on her Weibo social media account on April 18 that she accepted the criticism of China's media authority to take her videos offline. She will pay more attention to her language and personal image in future, so as to meet the requirement of the online audio-visual industry, she announced.

Due to reports from the public, Papi Jiang's humorous videos were ordered to be taken offline by the State administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, for their use of swear words and "vulgar" content.

The media watchdog ordered Papi Jiang and her team to remove the offending words and content before the show could be reinstated online.

Papi Jiang, whose original name is Jiang Yilei, is a postgraduate student studying at China's Central Academy of Drama. Employing exaggerated facial expressions and expressive body language, Papi has secured over 10 million followers from her self-made videos that she posted on social media.

Just a few days ago, four investment companies jointly announced they would invest 12 million yuan (U.S. $ 1.8 million) into Papi's show, for a 12 percent share of her total revenue.

The administrative authority also expressed that they will keep cracking down on inappropriate online videos continuously.

Buffy: Lou#8e,You&is217;re right, of course, that authenticity is still very much in fashion, but you’re also right that building a real relationship takes time. Unfortunately, I think that’s the real problem here. With time at a premium, people are unwilling to spend much of it building the kinds of authentic relationships we all claim to cherish. But not taking the time is really a cop out, and leaving meaningless comments that make no connection and contribute nothing are a waste of what little time you have.Heather Stone recently posted..
