Chinese actress Jiang Yiyan posted a series of photos on her microblog site Sina Weibo on March 9, showing the crazy clothing creations of kids she has been volunteering with in the southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

"Fashion week in the remote mountains," she captioned her photos

The young designers cut the playful clothes on their own and made original works such as hats and headdresses. All of them concentrated on their own designs for the activity, smiling happily and proudly in the pictures.

"You are so beautiful and kind. You never seek attention, despite your work in show business. And you bring us stories from the mountains," commented one netizen.

"I can't imagine what a difference you have made to these kids," applauded another.

Since 2006, Jiang has regularly volunteered as a teacher in Bama County in Guangxi, but her services remained unknown to the public until a documentary on her work went viral on social media last year.

Bama County is one of China's least developed areas that lack teachers for its kids due to low salary and harsh living conditions.

Though some criticized her for making a spectacle of her charity work, many praised her good deeds.

Apart from starring in movies and spending time as a volunteer, Jiang has been traveling all over the world taking photos. In 2014, she held her own exhibition in China and United States, and donated the proceeds to underprivileged kids.

In 2015, Jiang won the National Geographic Photograph Award, adding another merit to her growing list of achievements.
